In cooperation with Fibertech we deliver mounted heat shields for entrance and exit doors of steel process furnaces. The heat shield serves to keep the heat inside the furnace and preventing hot combustion gases to get out. As a result, the working environment is also protected against toxic gases from the oven.
The heat shield is composed as a curtain with flaps consisting of three layers:
1. A U-shaped flexible stainless steel protective coating to protect the FECRALLOY against mechanical damage and/or the metal plate getting through.
2. A multi-layer Fecralloy which can be heated up to 1.000C as heat isolation for the furnace.
3. A coated metal fiber layer provides protection up to 1.400C.
The heat shield can be mounted on a pipe with possible water cooling in order to increase the heat dissipation.
